Personally this project has been by far the most fun thing to do while clicking the shutter button. The effect that some silly looking paper masks can have on your friends/relatives eagerness to pose for you is a thing to behold. This is meaningful even if just for myself. It reminds me that I am still a kid who most of all likes to laugh.
The inspiration for this project came from the photobook "Masquerade" that was created in collaboration by photographer Inge Morath and illustrator Saul Steinberg during the 1960's.
It got me thinking that what if this series could continue today and follow me around wherever I go.
So. With some newly found inspiration and determination I created some masks that closely resembled the originals and started my journey..
A work in progress...
