A huge shoutout to Andreas Neumann and his Orbita 13 project that was the inspiration for this project.
I literally watched his "making of" videos to bits in order to design my own pinhole apparatus with the help of a furniture maker.
I must have poured all of my beginners luck into this thing as I literally did not know anything about how pinholes work but somehow managed to develop something that I can be very proud of.
In short CIRKUS CCCLX is a pinhole photography project that uses bullet-time principles to make a full 360 degree circle around its subject.
The apparatus contains 128 single pinhole chambers that act as frames for a video. To get a sharp image you have to have a steady hand and the thinnest of needles in order to make the smallest and roundest hole to a sheet of aluminum foil as possible. Also you need a lightproof darkroom that is at least 3x3 meters, a dozen speedlights or so and some crazy models. All photos were made using Fomapan BW 400 analog film.
